ESWC 2008 Grand Final are just 4 days away now, here is the continuation our pre-interviews. In for
The ESWC finals are here, one of the most glamorous events of the year to win. How have you prepared for the event?
Well we are playing 7 days a week, as a team and as individuals, just training like in the old days, more and more!
Who would you most like to play in the tournament and why?
I would like to play against all the best teams; fnatic and Alternate would be cool. I think that we have something to prove there.
You are the defending champions, however of late you have had little success; why is this and how do you plan to turn it around?
I would call it a bad luck, we are playing pretty stable but we had some strange moments during tournaments and we are working on it. I believe that we will be ready for ESWC finals, everything is going in the right direction.
MYM is one of the few teams who have had a stable line-up for over a year, even despite the bad performances, how have you managed this?
I don't think that we are playing SO BAD, come on! But well I think that all of my guys are very motivated and hungry for winning, we all have the desire to train and get better no matter what it takes, and that's what is great in this team.
The Grand Final will, different from Masters, run two group stages and best of three in the brackets. Do you see this as the best possible tournament structure for a tournament and how does it fit MYM?
I don't really care about the system, last time it was good for us because we won the whole tournament, but we will see what will happen this time.
There has been a wide debate about your attendance to the ESWC Grand Finals, do you think you deserve to go or were you fortunate with the invite?
I think that we deserve our spot, and I'm really happy that we will have the chance to prove that it was a good decision to invite us!
Lately there's been some rivalry going on with your team, fnatic and mTw. You keep defeating mTw while fnatic keep defeating you guys. Does your playing-style fit fnatic better, or is there another reason for this?
I don't really know. We like to play against both fnatic and mTw, it all depends on which team is on fire.
Who do you think will finish in the top 3 and do you think this year's Grand Finals will be a close tournament?
I would be happy with top3 from 2007 and I think that there will be a team which will dominate the whole event and a dark horse.
